“Landfall“, the Summer 2015 sales art exhibit featuring works by student, faculty, staff, and alumni has it’s final day on Saturday, September 5th. The show and sale has been running since June 26th. Pieces include painting, photography, sculpture, furniture design, fibers, drawing and printmaking. “Landfall” is being held at the Gutstein Gallery, 201 E. Broughton St. Savannah. Saturday’s hours are from 12 noon to 5 p.m. The gallery and exhibition are free and open to the public. This will be your last chance to pick up beautiful original art from our world famous college until next year’s exhibition.
According to Wikipedia, SCAD was founded in 1978 to provide degrees in programs not yet offered in the southeast. The university now operates two locations in Georgia, a degree-granting location in Hong Kong, a degree-granting online education program, and a study abroad location in Lacoste, France with rotating course offerings. The university enrolls more than 11,000 students from across the United States and around the world with international students comprising up to 14 percent of the student population.
